Moss to Vikings

The Freak Goes to the Freezing

The New England Patriots traded future Hall-of-Famer Randy Moss to the Minnesota Vikings.  In desperate need of a WR, since Sidney Rice went down, Minnesota was happy to give a 3rd round draft pick for Moss. The player that this trade most directly affects is Brett Farve.
Farve was left without a big deep threat when Rice got injured. This lead to his worst career star to a season.  He already as accumulated as many interceptions as he had ALL of last season.  I believe with the addition of Moss, Farve will improve dramatically.  Also, Sidney Rice will be back in the lineup around week 9. For that second half of the season, the Vikings will have Randy Moss at the No 1, Sidney Rice No 2, Percy (2009 Rookie of the Year) Harvin in the slot at No 3 and Bernard Berrian at the No 4.
Brett Farve will lead this team to a huge bounce back. I think they immediately become contenders in the NFC North.  Also, look for Adrian "All Day" Peterson to put up RIDICULOUS numbers from here on out. The defenses now have to respect the pass, and they will have to remove one or maybe even two defenders out of the box to cover "The Freak."

  1. Great Post! I am actually a big Minnesota Vikings fan, and I was really upset to see Sidney Rice injured. To be out until around week 9 could be truly disastrous for the Vikings and specifically their quarterback, Brett Farve. But when I found out that the Vikings had just traded their 3rd round draft pick to the patriots for one of their all-star players, Randy Moss, I knew that this would be a great investment. First of all, Moss will be a great replacement for Rice while he is injured, and now I don't have to worry about that patriot offences Tom Brady/Randy Moss combo anymore. And just for a little fun fact, Randy Moss was the first player in NFL history to play two consecutive Monday night football games in a row: one with the patriots the week before and this week with the Vikings. Pretty Kool!! Any ways, very well-done blog! Keep it up!
