Playoff Predictions

Playoff Team Predictions

NFC
East- With the NFC East looking as weak as it's ever been, it seems that the Eagles should take this division. QB Michael Vick  is playing like an MVP type QB.  The NFC East just seems very weak this year and I say that the Eagles will finish 11-5.

North- Although the Chicago Bears are looking extremely sound on defense and QB Jay Cutler is limiting his turnovers, I think the Packers will take this division behind the phenom QB Aaron Rodgers. The "Cheese Heads" will end the regular season 13-3.

South- With an astonishing THREE teams with a 2-1 record (including last year's horrendously embarrassing Tampa Bay Buccaneers), the NFC South is looking very strong.  I predict that the, defending Super Bowl Champion, Saints will win the division with a 11-5 record.

West- I am willing to make a huge surprise and BOLD pick that the Seattle Seahawks win the NFC West.  Their KR Specialist, Leon Washington, is getting hot, and Head-coach Pete Carrol has clearly made an impact on this once struggling team.  10-6 is my calculations for these rebounding birds.

AFC

East-  In my opinion, the AFC East is the strongest division in the NFL this year.  with three 2-1 teams, the divisional games are already heating up.  I think that the Miami Dolphins and the NY Jets tie in season record 10-6.  I also have to say that NY will win the division title since I believe the Jets will win the tiebreaker over the Phins.

North- The Cincinnati Bengals behind Head-coach Marvin Lewis will pull out the division win with a nail biter.  The AFC North Could very well have THREE teams make the playoffs.  The Steelers and Ravens could win the wild card.  Although the Steelers have started out 3-0, I really don't think they will continue to succeed. The Ravens will give the Bengals the biggest run for their claws. QB Joe Flacco seems to be coming into form, but a nagging injury to Ray Rice will slow the flight of these birds.

South- After suffering a week 1 loss to Arian Foster, the Colts have clearly turned everything around. WR Austin Collie is performing extremely well, and Peyton Manning is continuing his MVP run with 6 TDs and no interceptions.  Colts will be atop of the division with a 13-3 record.

West- There must be something in the air in western United States because I have the Kansas City Chiefs winning the AFC West.... If anyone would have called this before the season started they might have been slapped, kicked, spit on, and told to go watch Dancing With the Stars. These Chiefs are looking stellar. The only problem I see is that KC might not be able to put up a lot of points behind Matt Cassel. But, the Chief's defense is scoring TDs causing turnovers and not allowing points. The Chiefs must have put something in their Gatorade.
