The NFL Offseason

After the 2009 NFL season ended with the New Orleans Saints holding up the Lombardi Trophy, NFL General Managers began the hunt to land big free agent signings.  February 27 marked the day that free agency and team trading began.  Many teams needed to fulfill position requirements, and many big name players' contracts were up.  Listed below are the biggest free agent signings this offseason:
Anquan Boldin- WR- Baltimore A+
Karlos Dansby -MLB- Miami A
T.J. Houshmanzadeh-WR- Baltimore-  B
Brandon Marshal- WR- Miami A+
Terrel Owens-WR- Cincinatti B-
Darrele Revis-CB-New York A+
Antonio Cromartie- CB- New York- B+

The most influential signing is definitely the return of the 40 year old great, Brett Farve.  Without Farve, Minnesota would be in deep trouble.

  1. I think this is a great topic to blog on, especially now that the new NFL season is just starting again. I really agree with the statement in this blog that Brett Farve is one of the most influential signings this year. I know Minnesota would be completely lost without him. Last season he almost took them all the way to the Superbowl but lost to the Saints who won that same year. But this year I have a feeling that the Minnesota Vikings have a good chance of going all the way this year seeing as though adrian peterson keeps his hands on the ball, who is by the way my favorite player. I look forward to reading more of your blogs!
