AFC North Projections!!!

AFC North

10-6

Baltimore Ravens- The Ravens are looking very good with the addition of Anquan Boldin and T.J. Houshmanzadeh.  I predict that Flacco will have a huge year. Third year HB Ray Rice is in my candidates for this season's MVP.  Ray Rice is nothing short of exciting. He is dangerous when he is handed the ball off, and he can kill defenses catching the ball. Ray Lewis still leads the tough, hard-nosed Ravens defense.  A huge loss for 6 games is the injury to ProBowl Safety Ed Reed.

Prediction: With their schedule being so tough I say that the Ravens go 10-6 and make the Playoffs with the Wildcard.

 11-5

Cincinnati Bengals-  The Carson Palmer led Bengals jumped out to win the division last year. Their defense was astonishing.  Getting Antwan Odom back will help even more to this defense. The addition of T.O.  gives Palmer an additional threat on offense. HB Cedric Benson might have an even bigger year this year because the defense will have to play against the stars at WR.  Benson will be finding running holes and break out for HUGE gains this season. Also, watch out for Rookie Tight End Jermaine Gresham to have an All-star year.

Prediction: I just don't see how a team can stop these "cats." I say the Bengals win the AFC North and go 11-5.

 8-8

Pittsburgh Steelers- I am making a huge call saying that the Steelers only go 8-8. Although  HB Rashard Mendenhall is looking like he's going to have a break-out year and WR Mike Wallace seems to be coming into form, I believe the Steelers will have problems matching up on defense with the other star studded receiving cores in the AFC North.  The offseason issues with QB Ben Roethlisberger led his 4 game suspension.  He didn't even get voted by his teammates to be a Captain. I just don't see the Steelers being a contender with the ball not in "BIG BEN'S" hands.

Prediction: The Steelers will miss the Playoffs this season and go 8-8.

 3-13

Cleveland Browns- Theres really not much good to say about the Browns.  The only star on the entire team, Joshua Cribbs, is only a threat during a kickoff return.  Cribbs is the No. 2 WR, and the kickoff return specialist.  The Browns defense is horrendous. Their schedule is extremely tough facing the elite AFC North teams.  The Browns might not even 3 games this season. Im putting 3 big W's in the hands of Joshua Cribbs because I know Jake Delhome won't win games for Cleveland and the Rookie sensation HB Montario Hardesty is out for the whole season with an injury.

Prediction:  The Browns will continue their streak of poor seasons and go 3-13.
